Prep work
Prepwork: get ready to start the program
Our Web Development Program is immersive. To best prepare and make the most out of the it, you must complete our free coding 101course which will teach you some of the basic tech foundations.
module 1
Front-end development: mastering web technologies
Design and code responsive website with HTML, CSS and Bootstrap.
The module concludes with the students converting a single page website into a responsive site based on design.

Front-end development: mastering web technologies!
Topics include how to use CSS for creating things like navigation menus, positioning, and visibility; as well as modern effects such as drop-shadows, rounded corners and animations. This module concludes with the students converting a multiple page web site into a responsive design.

Introduction to Programming
Students are introduced to the basics of JavaScript for web development applications. The focus is on topics such as forms, images, and the Document Object Model (DOM). Students will also be exposed to the code conventions and rules of the JavaScript language.

Intermediate JavaScript
Topics include scripting various types of JavaScript features, changing CSS properties, and working with jQuery libraries.
The course concludes with the students creating an interactive user experience with a jQuery library.
MODULE 5
Advanced JavaScript
Students will learn about Ajax, JSON, and working with APIs. Students will be able to create more interactive and engaging websites using a variety of topography, navigational and visual effects. This module concludes with the students collaborating on a project to develop a one-page web app using an API to pull in data.
MODULE 6
JavaScript Libraries, Frameworks & Plugins
Students are introduced to React, a popular JavaScript library, which is used to create modular and reusable interfaces for web applications. Students will also engage with Firebase, which provides a real-time database and backend as a service.

MODULE 7
Authentication & Routing
In this module students will engage in advanced topics such as authentication, authorization, and managing Realtime databases. This module concludes with the students collaborating on a project to develop an app from scratch.
MODULE 8
Capstone Project-Portfolio Building!
An important goal of the capstone project is to simulate as much as possible the professional world. The Web Development Program Capstone Project will allow our students to build a portfolio of their weekly project assignments to showcase what they have learned to potential employers.
